About this forum

A weekly space to learn about TMS — on your own terms.

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive treatment that has helped a lot of people — but it can feel unfamiliar and hard to understand at first.

Every week, The Hope Project hosts a free, live Q&A where you can ask questions about TMS in the chat. Someone who has personally completed a full course of TMS treatment will be live on screen — sharing what they know, what the experience was actually like, and answering whatever’s on your mind.

This is not a sales call. There is no doctor presenting. There is no pressure to do anything. It’s simply a space to get informed.

Not a webinar full of slides. Not a consultation. Just an honest, human conversation about something that can feel overwhelming — made a little less so.

How it works

It’s simpler than you think.

Stay for the whole session or just for a few answers. No obligation. No follow-up you didn’t ask for. No pressure to decide anything.

Your privacy

You’re completely in control of what you share.

We built this forum with your comfort in mind. Here’s exactly what attending looks like from your side.

Your camera stays off

You will never appear on video. No one in the session will see you. Ever.

Your audio stays off

You won’t be heard. You won’t be called on. There’s no moment where you’re put on the spot.

Your name isn’t shown

Your identity won’t be displayed. Questions you ask in chat appear without your name attached.

Just there to listen and learn

Think of it like listening to a knowledgeable friend answer your questions. Low-key, low-pressure, no pressure to act.

If you’ve seen enough and you’re ready to join, you can reserve your spot right here.

Topics

No question is too basic. No question is too specific.

People join this forum for a lot of different reasons. Here are some of the things that come up most often:

  • How TMS actually works — the technology, the process, what happens
  • What a TMS session physically feels like
  • How long a typical treatment course runs
  • What results look like and how quickly they may show up
  • Whether TMS might be worth exploring for their situation
  • What to think about before reaching out to a clinic
  • General concerns or fears about starting treatment
  • How TMS compares to other approaches they may have tried
One thing to keep in mind: this forum covers general educational questions about TMS. For questions specific to a particular clinic — insurance, scheduling, intake, or individual treatment plans — you’ll want to contact that clinic directly. Every clinic operates differently.

Your host

Hosted by someone who’s actually been through it.

The Hope Project · TMS Graduate

Jake is a member of The Hope Project team who completed a full course of TMS treatment — and has seen the results firsthand.

He isn’t a doctor or clinician. He’s someone who went through the same questions, doubts, and unknowns you might be sitting with right now — and came out the other side with something meaningful.

The goal of this forum is simple: to give you the kind of honest, human information that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Common questions

Things people usually want to know before joining.

Is this really anonymous?

Yes. You won’t appear on camera, your audio is off, and your name won’t be displayed in the session. You can participate entirely through the chat — or simply listen without typing anything at all. No one will know you’re there unless you choose to engage.

Do I need to prepare anything before joining?

No. Just show up. You don’t need to have specific questions ready. If something comes to mind during the session, type it in the chat. If you’d rather just listen, that’s completely fine too.

Is Jake a doctor or clinician?

No. Jake is a member of The Hope Project team who has personally undergone TMS treatment. This forum is not a medical consultation — it’s an educational conversation from someone with real firsthand experience. For medical advice, please speak with a licensed healthcare provider.

What if I have questions about a specific clinic?

Clinic-specific questions — about insurance, scheduling, intake requirements, or individual treatment protocols — are best directed to that clinic directly. Every clinic operates differently, and Jake won’t have answers specific to any particular provider.

Will I be pressured to start treatment?

Not at all. This forum exists to help you get informed — not to push you toward any decision. Come to learn. Take what’s useful. There are no obligations, and no follow-up you didn’t ask for.

What if I miss the session?

The forum runs every Wednesday. If you can’t make it this time, just come back to this page and register for the next session that works for your schedule. No single session is make-or-break.

Is this free?

Yes. Completely free. No credit card. No commitment. No catch.
